چکیده

In this study, we developed Pd nanoparticles-based catalysts supported on composites formed by multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and graphitic nitride (g-C3N4) in various proportions, for their use the dehydrogenation of formic acid liquid phase. It was observed that composition support determined average size nanoparticles as well electronic properties, which ultimately affected performance Pd/MWCNT-C3N4 catalysts. Among assessed, catalyst with 63 wt. % C3N4 exhibited best activity, an initial TOF value 4258 h-1 calculated based surface atoms.

DNA-directed growth of ultrafine CoAuPd nanoparticles on graphene as efficient catalysts for formic acid dehydrogenation.

Ultrafine and well dispersed CoAuPd nanoparticles grown on a DNA-reduced-graphene-oxide (DNA-rGO) composite have been successfully synthesized using a DNA-directed method. The resultant CoAuPd/DNA-rGO composite exhibits high activity and 100% H2 selectivity toward the dehydrogenation of formic acid without any additive at 298 K.

Amine grafted silica supported CrAuPd alloy nanoparticles: superb heterogeneous catalysts for the room temperature dehydrogenation of formic acid.

Herein we show that a previously unappreciated combination of CrAuPd alloy nanoparticles and amine-grafted silica support facilitates the liberation of CO-free H2 from dehydrogenation of formic acid with record activity in the absence of any additives at room temperature. Furthermore, their excellent catalytic stability makes them isolable and reusable heterogeneous catalysts in the formic acid...

Mesoporous Silica Supported Pd-MnOx Catalysts with Excellent Catalytic Activity in Room-Temperature Formic Acid Decomposition

For the application of formic acid as a liquid organic hydrogen carrier, development of efficient catalysts for dehydrogenation of formic acid is a challenging topic, and most studies have so far focused on the composition of metals and supports, the size effect of metal nanoparticles, and surface chemistry of supports. Another influential factor is highly desired to overcome the current limita...

One-Pot Synthesis of Graphene-Supported Monodisperse Pd Nanoparticles as Catalyst for Formic Acid Electro-oxidation

To synthesize monodisperse palladium nanoparticles dispersed on reduced graphene oxide (RGO) sheets, we have developed an easy and scalable solvothermal reduction method from an organic solution system. The RGO-supported palladium nanoparticles with a diameter of 3.8 nm are synthesized in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and in the presence of oleylamine and trioctylphosphine, which facilitates sim...

Reducing-Agent-Free Instant Synthesis of Carbon-Supported Pd Catalysts in a Green Leidenfrost Droplet Reactor and Catalytic Activity in Formic Acid Dehydrogenation

The development of green synthesis methods for supported noble metal catalysts remains important challenges to improve their sustainability. Here we first synthesized carbon-supported Pd catalysts in a green Leidenfrost droplet reactor without reducing agents, high-temperature calcination and reduction procedures. When the aqueous solution containing Pd nitrate precursor, carbon support, and wa...
